For brands
Beehive Made is a free directory and map of consumer brands from Utah. It is a passion project: Alex built it to show off the brands that start and run here. Here is how a brand gets on it and how to keep its page right.
If your brand is missing, submit it. If your page gets something wrong, tell us and we fix it.

What Beehive Made is
Live since October 1, 2026
Beehive Made is an editorial directory of consumer brands with a real tie to Utah. Each brand gets a page with a story we write and a data plate of sourced facts. Its pin goes on the map.
A brand goes up only after two independent sources confirm its city and founding year. Ownership needs two sources as well.
We write for two readers. One buys outdoor gear and reads the spec sheet before the reviews, wherever they live. The other lives in Utah and wants to know which brands are still owned here and still make things here.
The site is new and its readership is small. We do not quote numbers we cannot show. The advertise page lists the reader counts we can show, measured by Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Getting listed
A brand qualifies when it sells physical products to consumers and has at least one of the four Utah ties below. The tie has to be exactly true, and the brand page says which ones apply.
- Created in Utah180 brands
- The company started in Utah. It stays on the list if it later moved or sold, and its page says where it lives now.
- Run from Utah250 brands
- The company makes its decisions in Utah today, wherever it started.
- Made in Utah136 brands
- The company builds at least part of its line in Utah, in its own shop or a factory nearby. A warehouse or a design office does not count.
- North American HQ in Utah10 brands
- The company is run from outside the United States, and its North American business is run from a Utah office with real staff. A warehouse alone does not count.
What stays off
- Services and software. We list physical products only.
- Multilevel marketing sellers.
- One-person micro shops, and brands whose store has gone quiet.
- Resold imports with no Utah design or making behind them.
- A company whose only Utah presence is a warehouse or distribution center.
Small brands are welcome, as long as they are real and still selling.
Fixing your page
Every brand page has a link under its data plate that reads Request a correction or removal. It opens the correction form with your brand's name filled in.
Tell us what should change, and include a link that shows the correct information, such as your about page or a news story. Tick the box that says you work for the brand, and leave an email if you want a reply.
We check the change against that source and then fix the page. A fix we can confirm goes up within 2 to 3 days.
Corrections are free, and paying never changes a word of a page.
Launching something? Send it to hello@beehivemade.com. We add new releases from listed brands to the What's new page and to the brand's own page.
The badge
Any listed brand can put the Featured on Beehive Made badge on its own site. It is free and comes in three colorways and two sizes, as SVG or PNG. The code links to your page here.
The quickest way to get it is the Get the badge for your site link under the data plate on your brand page. The code on that page already points at your brand.
Paste the code into your site's footer or press page. There is no paid version, and we do not sell a verified mark.

</a>This copy links to the home page. The copy on your brand's badge page links to your own page.
Photos and press kits
Every photograph on the site comes from a brand's press kit or its own website. We never use stock photos or generated images, and we record where each one came from.
If you would rather we use different photos, send a press kit. Email a link to a folder of your largest files to hello@beehivemade.com and say which shots you prefer. We resize every photo for the web ourselves, so the originals work best.
If you own a photo on the site and want it gone, say so through the correction form or by email. It comes down within 2 to 3 days, and we reply in writing.
What to send
- A wide photograph for the top of your page, the larger the better.
- Product shots of the things people buy from you most.
- A photograph of your product in use, if you have one.
- Your logo, as an SVG file if you have one.
How the site makes money
Some links are affiliate links. A click alone earns nothing. If a reader buys after clicking one, the store or its network may pay us a small commission. The buyer pays the same price. Those commissions keep the lights on. They never decide who is listed or what a page says.
The first shop button on a brand page goes to the brand's own store. A brand with no affiliate program gets the same page and the same button.
Paid placements come later, and each one will carry a label on the page where it appears.
Never for sale
- A place in the directoryBeing listed is free. Paying never gets a brand in, and not paying never takes one out.
- The words on a brand pageA paid placement buys position next to a label, never wording.
- The weekly spotlightThe editorial calendar picks it, and it is never sold.
- A followed linkEvery paid link is marked as sponsored for search engines.
What is coming for brands
Nothing is for sale yet. Paid placements open once the site reaches 5,000 visitors a month or 1,000 newsletter subscribers, and brands on the waitlist hear first.
The placements planned are a featured listing, a featured launch on What's new, a newsletter block, a category line and a gift guide pick. Each one buys position next to a label and leaves the wording of your page alone.
We also plan a founding partner offer for a first group of Utah brands. Its terms and its price are not set. Join the waitlist and you will see the terms in writing before anything is signed.
When placements open
- Visitors a month
- 5,000
- Or newsletter subscribers
- 1,000
Whichever comes first.
Questions and answers
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. Every brand page is free and stays free. Paying never gets a brand in, and not paying never takes one out.
Can we pay to change what our page says?
No. A paid placement buys position next to a label, never wording. Facts are corrected for free through the correction form.
How long does a new brand take to go up?
Usually about a week. We check every submission against two independent sources before the page is published.
Our page says Run from Utah, but the company started here. Can that change?
Yes. Send a link that shows where the company started through the correction form. Once a second source agrees, the page adds Created in Utah.
Can we ask for our page to be taken down?
Yes. Use the correction form and say you want the page removed, or write to hello@beehivemade.com.
Do you earn money when someone clicks through to our site?
Sometimes. Some links are affiliate links that pay us a small commission on a sale, at no extra cost to the buyer. A brand with no affiliate program gets the same page and a button to its own site.
Is the badge free?
Yes, in every colorway, for any listed brand. The code links to your page, and we do not sell a verified mark.
Can we pay for the weekly spotlight?
No. The spotlight is chosen by the editorial calendar and is never sold. A paying brand can be picked on the same terms as any other.
