This report counts the brands Beehive Made publishes, as they stood on October 25, 2026. A brand is listed when it sells a consumer product under its own name and has a real tie to Utah: it was founded here, it is run from here, it makes its products here, or it is a foreign brand whose North American business runs from a Utah office with real staff. A warehouse alone does not count. Restaurants, software, services and MLM sales organizations are left out.
A brand goes up only after two independent sources confirm its founding details and its ownership, and each brand page lists them. Counties come from the Utah city that earns the listing. Founding years are the year a brand started anywhere, and brands without a confirmed year drop out of the year counts. Percentages are shares of the group named beside them, rounded to one decimal place.
Where products are made comes from the Made in Utah tag and from each brand page's Quick facts, which answer whether its products are made here and give a source. The acquisitions come from the acquisitions tracker, where every deal has one source we opened. A deal counts when the brand had a Utah tie at the time, or when a Utah company was the buyer.
The directory is a list that grows every week, not a census, so these counts describe the brands we have confirmed so far. The numbers on this page are recounted every time the site is built. The PDF is a shorter summary, dated on its cover.
