This page lists every sale of a Utah consumer brand we could confirm, along with stakes large enough to be reported. A deal makes the list when the brand had a tie to Utah at the time, under the same rules the directory uses for its brands, or when a Utah company did the buying. Each row links to one page we opened that names the buyer and the year.
The list holds 86 deals for 67 brands. Investment firms were the buyer in 32 of them and other companies in 51. The other three were mergers with a listed blank check company, which is how a private company can reach the stock market without a traditional offering. Most of the activity is recent. Seventy-six of the 86 deals happened in 2010 or later, and 2021 was the busiest year, with 11.
A price is listed only when a filing or a news report made it public. That happened for 20 deals. The largest is $1.4 billion, which Reckitt Benckiser paid for Schiff Nutrition in 2012. Prices for a parent company that owned more than one brand stay in the note, not the price column, so a number never reads as the price of one brand when it was not.
A sale is rarely the last one. Lizard Skins has changed hands three times since 2021, and 18 brands appear more than once. The brand pages say who owns each company today and where it is run from. Know of a deal we missed? Send it with a link to the source.

How this list is kept
A row needs one source that we opened and that names the buyer and the year. That is usually a press release or a securities filing, and sometimes a news story. When sources disagree on a price, the price is left out and the note says why. The year is the year a deal closed, or the year it was announced when no closing was reported.
Stakes count when a source reports them. The deal column says whether a stake was a majority or a minority, and it says investment when the source gives no size. Sales between private people are left off, because the directory never names a person or a family as an owner. The list is checked every week against business news, so it grows.
The 2026 State of Utah Consumer Brands report puts these deals next to the directory's own counts, and Utah brands by the numbers has the rest.
