Type "black rifle coffee headquarters" into Google and it offers to finish the phrase with San Antonio, or with Texas. That guess is a few years out of date. In March 2018 most of the company moved to a new headquarters in San Antonio, according to Coffee or Die, the magazine Black Rifle publishes. Its latest quarterly report to the SEC, filed in August 2026, gives a Utah address instead, in West Valley City. The coffee is roasted in Tennessee.

Where is Black Rifle Coffee headquartered
In West Valley City, Utah. BRC Inc., the public company behind Black Rifle Coffee, lists its principal executive office at 3131 W. 2210 S., Suite C, in its quarterly report for the period ended June 30, 2026. The FAQ on its investor relations site gives the same address. The annual report for 2025 describes it as a leased office of about 10,200 square feet, labeled "HQ and Corporate."
Texas didn't come from nowhere. Black Rifle also leases corporate offices in San Antonio and Nashville. It opened its first Outpost coffee shop in San Antonio in 2020. Before the 2022 merger that took it public, BRC Inc. was a new holding company with a mailing address in Austin, and the merger prospectus said its offices would move to Salt Lake City once the deal closed. Even the outside auditor signs its opinion in San Antonio.

Where did Black Rifle Coffee start
In Utah, in 2014. The annual report says Evan Hafer, a U.S. Army veteran, began with a one-pound roaster in a garage, where he roasted the coffee and shipped it to customers himself. Fox News8 put that garage in Salt Lake City in 2020. So did Toby Johnson, the company's chief operating officer, quoted in The Armory Life9 in 2022. The first office was space shared with a landscaping company in Salt Lake City, Coffee or Die reported.
The 2022 prospectus names Mat Best and Jarred Taylor as founders alongside Hafer, and it says the company took in about $1 million in 2015, its first full year. Net revenue for 2025 was $398.3 million. The one-pound roaster did not make that jump with it.
Did the founders live in Utah
Early on, yes. Hafer had a house in Park City, according to the history Coffee or Die published in November 2019, and both of his cofounders moved to Utah to join him. Taylor visited him there to see what he was working on, and the two went to High West Whiskey.
Hafer had met Best and Taylor in El Paso, Texas, where Taylor was stationed at Fort Bliss and the two were shooting videos for a clothing brand called Article 15. When Hafer asked for help, Taylor told the magazine, "Mat and I jumped in the truck, we drove from El Paso to Salt Lake, and we never went home." He had someone ship everything he owned to Utah. So the Utah story starts with a drive out of Texas, which does nothing for anyone's autocomplete.
In a February 2021 interview with Max Raskin10, Hafer called High West "a distillery here in Park City that I like." Hafer was CEO through December 2023 and is now executive chairman, according to the 2026 proxy statement.

Where is Black Rifle Coffee made
In Manchester, Tennessee. The 2025 annual report lists a 65,000 square foot manufacturing plant there that the company owns, and the 2022 prospectus said it roasts the majority of its coffee beans in-house in Manchester. Co-manufacturers handle part of the roasting and all of the ready-to-drink coffee and Black Rifle Energy, which launched in late 2024.
Utah used to roast a little. The 2022 prospectus said a small portion of the roasting happened at the Salt Lake City facility. The 2025 annual report lists no manufacturing in Utah. That is why Black Rifle sits on the Run from Utah list and not on Made in Utah.
Who owns Black Rifle Coffee
Its shareholders, though one holder has an outsized vote. BRC Inc. trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BRCC, and its annual report calls it a "controlled company" under exchange rules. It went public on February 9, 2022, when it closed a merger with SilverBox Engaged Merger Corp I, a special purpose acquisition company. In August 2026 it carried out a 1-for-10 reverse split of its shares.
Chris Mondzelewski has been CEO since January 2024. He spent five years as a Marine and 12 years at Kraft Foods before he came to Black Rifle, the proxy statement says. The company had 468 employees at the end of 2025, 39 of them in manufacturing.
The beans get roasted in Tennessee, and the first Outpost opened in San Antonio. The mail for BRC Inc. goes to a 10,200 square foot office in West Valley City.
