For a Utah factory tour, book the Heber Valley first. Ritual Chocolate1 and Heber Valley Artisan Cheese3 both run public tours there, and High West5,6 gives distillery tours nearby in Wanship. Other Utah brands sell from the building where the work happens, including Springbar's7,8 tent workshop in Millcreek and Taffy Town's9,10 factory in West Jordan.

Every hour below came from the brand's own site on October 2, 2026, and when a detail came from somewhere else, we name the source. Hours change, so check the day you go. The map shows every brand we list, and plenty of them are just offices, so this page sticks to the ones with a door you can walk through.

Quick answers

Are there factory tours in Utah?

Yes. Ritual Chocolate in Heber City and Heber Valley Artisan Cheese in Midway run public tours, and High West runs distillery tours in Wanship. Book ahead.

Is there a made in Utah store near Salt Lake City?

Several brands sell from their own buildings. Springbar's tent workshop store is at 4026 S West Temple in Millcreek, and Taffy Town's factory store is at 9813 S Prosperity Road in West Jordan.

Can you tour Taffy Town?

Taffy Town's site invites visitors to its West Jordan factory store to taste flavors. It does not mention factory tours.

How much is the Ritual Chocolate factory tour?

$25 a person as of October 2, 2026. It runs about an hour, on Fridays at 11 a.m. and Saturdays at noon.

Can you tour a factory in Utah

Yes, and the two with the most to see are both in the Heber Valley. Book ahead.

Ritual Chocolate, Heber City. The public factory tour and tasting runs about an hour and follows the chocolate from cacao bean to finished bar. Tours start Fridays at 11 a.m. and Saturdays at noon, and tickets are $25 a person. Ritual recommends them for ages 12 and up. The factory is at 2175 W 3000 S, Suite 100. Ritual started in Colorado and moved its whole operation to Heber in October 2023, so Utah's claim is the factory, which is also the part you get to tour.

Heber Valley Artisan Cheese, Midway. The company's site says the farm at 920 River Road has been in its family for more than 100 years, and Utah's Own dates the creamery to 2011. The site lists a daily farm tour at 11 a.m. When Visit Park City took it in 2021, adult tickets were $16 and a hayride carried visitors out to the calves. The barn had a robotic milker that uses cameras to find each teat. The cows also had a spa with automatic scratchers, which is more than the adults on the hayride get after a ski day.

The farm store is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and sells cheese, curds, ice cream and, per Utah's Own, grilled cheese sandwiches. Once a month there is a class in making mozzarella or burrata.

High West, Wanship. The distillery at 27649 Old Lincoln Highway runs tours Wednesday through Sunday between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A tour with a tasting takes about an hour and 15 minutes, and up to two hours for the longer options. Everyone parks in the lower lot and rides a shuttle up, so arrive 15 minutes early, and bring someone who isn't tasting to drive home. High West also runs a saloon at 703 Park Avenue in Park City, for anyone who would rather not drive to Wanship. The rest of the Wasatch Back is on our Park City page.

Utah brand stores in the Salt Lake Valley

No tours at these. Some sell from the building where the product is made, and the others are the brand's own stores. The full valley list is on the Salt Lake City page.

Springbar, Millcreek. The building at 4026 S West Temple holds the factory where Springbar's American tents are cut and sewn, along with its offices, a warehouse, a retail shop and a tent garden. The tent garden is an outdoor display of different Springbar models and sizes, open with the store from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Crawling into a canvas tent on West Temple at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday feels a little strange. It is still the best way to buy one.

Taffy Town, West Jordan. The factory store sits inside the company's 43,000 square foot plant at 9813 S Prosperity Road, which makes more than 20,000 pounds of taffy a day. It is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. The site promises tastes of a few flavors, and it doesn't mention tours, so set expectations in the car.

Black Diamond, Millcreek. The Black Diamond HQ Millcreek store, at 2092 E 3900 S, does ski mounting, waxing and tuning, boot fitting and repairs. It is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. There is a second store in the Granary District at 660 S 400 W.

DaleBoot, Millcreek. DaleBoot12 USA's shop is at 2955 E 3300 S. Zions Bank13 reported in February 2026 that the company makes custom boots in Salt Lake City and in Kitzbühel, Austria. Its North Salt Lake plant also makes plastic devices for knee and hip replacement surgeries, year round. A boot company with a side business in knees has thought about yours more than you have.

Kizik, Murray. Kizik opened its first store at Fashion Place Mall on May 19, 2023, World Footwear14 reported. It sells shoes built to go on without your hands, so this is the rare shoe store where you can try on a pair while holding a pretzel.

Utah brand stores in Utah County and Cache Valley

Lehi Mills, Lehi. The mill at 833 E Main Street has run since 1906, and its store is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The mill appears in Footloose, and the prom scene in its basement was not filmed there, because that room doesn't exist. The mill says visitors still arrive expecting to see it.

Thread, Provo. Thread's HQ store is at 241 W Center Street, open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Utah Business18 reported in 2023 that Thread had bought the Old Rock Church just off Center Street, vacant for about 11 years, as a headquarters. Cofounder McKenzie Bauer sewed the first wallets in her childhood bedroom, so any church is a step up. More Utah County brands are on the Utah County page.

Caffe Ibis19, Logan. The Gallery Café at 52 Federal Avenue is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The company roasts its coffee eight blocks west, and the café is where you drink the results. The rest of Cache Valley is on the Logan page.

How to plan a Utah brand road trip

Book the tours first. Ritual sells one ticket per person for a set start time, and High West says walk-in spots are very limited. The cheese tour and Ritual's Friday tour both start at 11 a.m., so give each one its own morning.

Then check the day of the week. Springbar's store is open weekdays only, and Taffy Town closes at 1 p.m. on Friday. The cheese farm's store is closed on Sunday. A Saturday in the Salt Lake Valley gets you Black Diamond and Kizik. It does not get you taffy.

Call ahead for anything else. Most brands on the map run offices or factories that aren't open to the public, and a pin is not an invitation.
