The best Utah made gifts under $50 start at $7, for a bar of goat milk soap from Randolph, and top out at $49.95 for a sleeping pad from Kaysville. We found 18 worth giving and checked every price on the brand's own site on October 2, 2026. Eight are made in Utah, and the other ten come from Utah companies that make them somewhere else or don't say where.

That split is the reason this list exists. A Utah address on a gift can mean a factory floor in Hurricane or an office above a warehouse, and the price tag won't tell you which. We counted a gift as made here only when a source said so. The map and the made in Utah list have the rest of the brands.

Quick answers

What are good Utah made gifts under $50?

Taffy Town5,6,7 taffy, a Chums3,4 retainer, a Ritual or Amano chocolate bar, Caffe Ibis11,12 coffee and a pack of Voilé Straps are all made in Utah and all cost less than $25.

Which Utah gifts are actually made in Utah?

On this list, eight of 18. We counted a gift as made here only when a source said so, and for the coffee we took roasted in Logan to count.

Is Kodiak Cakes from Utah?

Yes. Kodiak Cakes15,16 says it started in 1982, when its founder sold his grandfather's mix door to door, and it is headquartered in Park City.

Can you buy Utah gifts in person?

Some. Taffy Town sells from its West Jordan factory store, and Ritual runs public tours of its Heber City factory.

Utah gifts under $50 that are made in Utah

Each of these eight comes from a brand tagged Made in Utah in our directory, and each tag rests on a source saying the product is made here. For the coffee that means roasted here. All of them are on our made in Utah list.

All Things Goat bar soap, $7. A mother-daughter team in Randolph keeps the goats and makes the soap from their milk. The scents run from Honey Oatmeal to Hickory & Suede, which sounds more like a work boot than a soap and is the one we'd pick.

Chums Universal Fit retainer, $9.99. Chums says its Hurricane plant turns out more than 15,000 units a day, and the company started in 1983 with a dory captain on the Colorado River. The Realtree camo version costs $10.99, which is a dollar more for the privilege of losing it in the grass.

Taffy Town Peppermint Stick canister, 18 oz, $9.99. Taffy Town makes more than 20,000 pounds of taffy a day in West Jordan, by its own count. At about 55 cents an ounce, it is the cheapest way on this list to make someone's jaw tired.

Ritual Chocolate8,9 Mid Mountain Blend bar, $10. Made at Ritual's factory in Heber City, and the company describes it as a blend of every origin it works with. Someone at the party will point out that it is a $10 candy bar. Tell them the factory runs public tours on Fridays and Saturdays, and the $25 ticket will make the bar look cheap.

Amano Dos Rios bar, 3 oz, $14.95. Made in Orem from Dominican Republic cacao, with a 2024 ICA Americas bronze listed on the product page. When we checked, the page limited buyers to one bar per order because of short supply. Amano has made the stocking stuffer a small logistics problem, and we respect it.

Caffe Ibis Organic Logan Canyon Blend, 12 oz, $23.29. Roasted in Logan at the company's roastery, eight blocks west of its café on Federal Avenue, and certified Organic and Fairtrade. Caffe Ibis roasts Monday through Thursday and asks for up to a week before an order ships, so this is not a December 23 gift.

Voilé Straps variety pack, $24. Three straps in lengths from 15 to 25 inches, with a "Made in Utah, USA" badge on the product page. Voilé says the polyurethane tension strap was designed in Utah in 1984. Judging by our own garage, these now hold together far more than skis.

Lehi Mills14 Turkey bread flour, 25 lb, $32.99. Lehi Mills has milled in Lehi since 1906 and says its wheat is grown within 300 miles of it. Twenty-five pounds is an unusual shape to wrap. The bread baker in your family will not be asking for a gift receipt.

Utah gifts under $50 that are made somewhere else

These ten come from companies founded in Utah or run from here. None of their product pages claim Utah manufacturing, and most don't name a country at all. They are still good gifts, and now you can answer the question when somebody reads the label.

Kodiak Cakes Grizzly Size Buttermilk Power Cakes, $10.70. Joel Clark was 8 in 1982 when he went door to door with a red wagon, selling paper bags of his grandfather's flapjack mix. The company is headquartered in Park City now. This box holds 16 servings, and it was on sale for $9.70 when we looked.

Wūru Blister Wool, $11.95. Three quarters of an ounce of loose wool, enough for 20 to 30 applications by the company's count. You pull off a tuft and tuck it where the boot rubs. Wūru sews its clothing in its own Salt Lake City factory, but this wool comes from New Zealand, and the page says so.

Board Budder20,21 All Conditions wax, 96 g, $12.95. Rated from 10°F to 40°F, and the Salt Lake City company says it contains no paraffin or PFAS. It is also the only gift here designed to be scraped off.

Thread Swell elastic wallet, $15.99. Holds two to eight cards. Colby Bauer lost his wallet to the ocean while swimming in Hawaii and went with a rubber band instead. Then he and McKenzie Bauer sewed the first Thread wallets in her childhood bedroom in Provo, on the machine she got for Christmas at 12. The first year sold about $130,000 worth of them.

Copper Pearl24,25 bandana bibs, four pack, $23. The fronts are organic cotton certified to the GOTS standard and the backs are polyester fleece, sized from birth to 36 months. Copper Pearl was founded in Sandy in 2015. Four bibs sounds like plenty until lunch.

Discrete COBOL beanie, $30. Julian Carr named Discrete after a concept he met in a computer science class at the University of Utah, and most of the products carry math or computer science names. This one is 100 percent acrylic. The programmer in your life will get the name. Everyone else will just get a hat.

Goal Zero28 Lighthouse Micro Flash, $39.95. A 2.4 ounce USB lantern that puts out up to 150 lumens and runs up to 170 hours on its low setting. BioLite bought Goal Zero in April 2025 and kept the brand name. The product page suggests a glove box, which is where emergency lanterns go to wait for an emergency.

Owala FreeSip, $39.99. Trove Brands of Lehi first sold the FreeSip under its BlenderBottle name, where it didn't catch on, then relaunched it as Owala in 2020. Owala's page puts the brand's hashtag at 272 million TikTok views. If there is a teenager in the house, you already know which color is sold out.

Snēk Roll Top Saddle Bag, $40. Holds 0.6 to 1 liter depending on how far you roll it, in 500 denier Cordura. Snēk says it works with manufacturers in the US and abroad, and the product page doesn't say which one made this bag.

Klymit34 Static V Base sleeping pad, $49.95. It weighs 18.7 ounces and packs down to 8 by 3 inches. Klymit is based in Kaysville and dates to 2007, and MacNeill Pride Group bought it in 2021. Its R-value is 1.3, which makes it a summer pad, or a spare bed for the living room floor when relatives stay over.

What to know before ordering Utah gifts online

Prices change fast in the fall. Beehive Cheese's36 Barely Buzzed, the cheddar rubbed with espresso and lavender, now starts at $53.99 for two 12 ounce wedges. That is $3.99 over the line, and we checked twice.

The small shops need lead time. Caffe Ibis roasts to order, and Amano was rationing its Dos Rios bar when we checked.

If you're in the Salt Lake Valley, you can skip shipping on the taffy. Taffy Town's factory store is at 9813 S Prosperity Road in West Jordan, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 1 p.m. on Friday. The map shows where every brand on this page sits, and the rest of the edible options are in food and drink.
