Easton arrows have been used to win every Olympic archery title since the sport returned to the Games in 1972, and they are built in Salt Lake City. Hoyt bows come from the same city and have won Olympic medals since that year too. The rest of this list is the gear that goes around the bow, from Utah companies that make some of it here and buy some of it elsewhere, and where a brand's page says which, the card says so too.

Prices are the ones on each brand's own site on October 19, 2026. Hoyt sells its bows through dealers, so those two cards show Hoyt's list price.

Bows and arrows

3 picks. All sections

Hoyt started in 1931 as a St. Louis shop making cedar arrows. Jas. D. Easton Inc. bought it in 1983 and moved it to Salt Lake City one department at a time. The Enduro is the way in at $849. The Carbon RX-10 is about half a pound lighter and $1,300 more, and anyone who has carried a bow up a ridge in September can do that math. Easton doesn't price its arrows online, so its pick here is the quiver that holds them.

Broadheads

3 picks. All sections

Jay Liechty finished BYU's pre-med program and then taught himself patent law. He wanted a sharp edge near the tip of a mechanical broadhead, to get rid of what he called the butter knife effect, and the Razortip reached the market in 2000. His Provo company is the only broadhead maker still owned and run by its founder, according to Utah's Small Business Development Center. Easton's case holds six heads by the ferrule so the blades never touch the foam.

Packs

2 picks. All sections

Badlands started in 1992 in a 10 by 20 foot storage shed in Salt Lake City on $2,500, making mountain packs. In 1993 the crew caught an employee repainting his own pack in earth tones, and hunting packs followed. Heritage Outdoor Group bought the company in July 2026, and it still works out of Sandy.

Knives and axes

3 picks. All sections

Knafs in Clearfield says where each knife comes from. The Little Lulu is the first knife it milled and ground in its own shop, and the $54.99 Lander 4 is made in China by Kizer, which the page says plainly. Timber Knives on Main Street in Heber City numbers the pieces it makes in house, and the Bruiser is the only No. 006 there will be.

Safes

2 picks. All sections

Jay Crosby started Liberty in 1988 with eight employees building six safes a day, and Liberty builds in Payson now. Champion has built safes in Provo since 1999 and makes its middle and value lines in Nogales, Mexico. Liberty says it forms each door from one piece of steel in 90 seconds.
