Tyler Howells once bought the last seat on a bus in rural China. It turned out to be a bale of hay, and he rode it for four hours. He was working backward through the supply chain for his bamboo bedding, Utah Business1 reported, from the finishing factories all the way back to the groves where the bamboo is cut. His company, Cozy Earth2,3, is run from Riverton, Utah. What it sells comes from more than 30 suppliers in 12 countries.
Quick answers
Where is Cozy Earth made?
By more than 30 suppliers in 12 countries, according to Utah Business. Its bamboo bedding supply chain runs through China. None of our sources lists a Utah factory.
Is Cozy Earth made in the USA?
Not the bedding we can trace. The company is run from Utah, but its products are made by overseas suppliers.
Where is Cozy Earth located?
Its headquarters is in Riverton, Utah.
Who owns Cozy Earth?
It is led by its founder and CEO, Tyler Howells. None of our sources names a parent company.
Where are Cozy Earth sheets made
Not in one place, and none of our sources lists a Utah factory. Cozy Earth works with more than 30 suppliers in 12 countries, according to Utah Business in September 2026.
The bamboo sheets are the one line with a documented route. The chain Howells walked for them ran through China, through yarn makers, dye houses, weavers and fiber factories down to the bamboo itself. Sleep Foundation's4 review lists the sheets as 100 percent viscose derived from bamboo, in a sateen weave.
So if "made in USA" is the question, the answer is no for the bamboo sheets we can trace, and the company's own About page and Utah Business profile don't say otherwise. Utah is where the company is run from, which is why the directory tags it Run from Utah and not Made in Utah.

Where is Cozy Earth's headquarters
Riverton, Utah, at 964 West 14420 South, the address in Cozy Earth's own privacy policy. You may see older addresses elsewhere. In 2017 Home Textiles Today5 called it a Salt Lake City company. The team has grown from four employees to more than 100, by Utah Business's count.
Howells has said he chose Utah on purpose. "There's a lot of great talent here, but more than that, where we're lacking experience in Utah, we make up for in attitude and effort," he told the magazine.
Who owns Cozy Earth
Its founder leads it. Howells is founder and CEO, and Cozy Earth's own About page says it was founded in 2010. None of the sources we read names a parent company.
Home Textiles Today described the business in 2017 as one that began seven years earlier as a wholesale bamboo bedding operation. The idea goes back to his 11th birthday, when he and his mother went looking for the softest sheets they could find and came home with nothing, because everything felt the same. Later, at BYU, he was helping import wood floors when a silk blanket from China got him thinking about fabric instead.

Why Cozy Earth got so big
Oprah helped. In 2018 she put the Cozy Earth bamboo sheet and duvet cover bundle on her Favorite Things list. Revenue grew 3,371 percent from 2019 to 2026, Utah Business reported, and the catalog now runs past 500 products, spanning bedding, loungewear, bath and skincare.
Sleep Foundation says the sheets carry a 10-year warranty and a 100-night sleep trial, and that the sateen weave is designed to prevent pilling. Cozy Earth opened three stores in California in 2025. Utah Business lists Utah only among the markets the company is considering, which makes Cozy Earth a Utah brand that is easier to touch in San Diego than in Riverton.
