It was incorporated in Utah in June 1969 as Provo Craft & Novelty, and it reincorporated in Delaware in 2020. Its old building in downtown Provo emptied out when Provo Craft moved its internet sales division and woodshop to Spanish Fork in 2006, the Daily Herald reported. The first Cricut machine arrived in January 2005, according to Wikipedia. An ownership filing with the SEC, dated to March 31, 2026, lists the Petrus entities in care of Petrus Trust Company on Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas. Ashish Arora, whom the report calls the founder of Cricut's current product family and business model, is CEO.
