Salt Lake City, UtahSince 2015

Gigi Pip is an apparel brand headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was founded in 2015.

Gigi Pip's launch ruined Thanksgiving. The first hats went on sale at midnight on Black Friday, and Ginger Parrish has written that she and her husband, Jon, cared more about it than the turkey. Orders shipped from their one spare bedroom. The company is now run from Salt Lake City.

Parrish started a family blog in 2011 and was rarely photographed without a hat, often one from the men's section. Jon warned she'd be known as the crazy hat lady. In 2015 the couple started selling their own structured-brim hats. Their first business argument was over the logo font, and the designer hired to settle it drew a logo that has never changed.

The hats are designed in Salt Lake City and made in factories around the world, including China. Half a dozen Texas locations didn't work out, and Ginger wrote that they lost money learning to run a store from another state.

Men asked for their own version, which became Two Roads Hat Co. Both brands now share a Nashville Yards store with a custom hat bar. Ginger has since claimed the title herself, telling Seele she is grateful for what came "from following my crazy hat lady heart."

Fun fact

Gigi Pip calls the staff of its traveling hat bar "hat-tenders," and the company says the bar has worked events as big as 5,000 people, including one for Formula One in Las Vegas.
