Snēk Cycling is a cycling brand founded in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2016.
Snēk Cycling sizes its handlebar bags by mustache. The Pencil Stache holds 1.3 liters and the Walrus Stache holds 2.2, and the Salt Lake City company calls the smaller one its most popular. The name, pronounced sneak, is shorthand for slick and neat.
Jonny Hintze, a longtime Utah rider, started Snēk in 2016 with merino winter hats and cycling wallets. In 2018 BikeRadar identified him as the art director at ENVE Composites. He kept losing the tiny valve core tool that tubeless repairs need, so he designed the Lifeboat, a tire lever with a metal core under a plastic skin and valve core removers built in. It also opens bottles, a feature BikeRadar explained in two words: "Because beer." A 2018 Kickstarter with a $9,500 goal got it made in the USA with a lifetime guarantee.
Partner manufacturers in the US and abroad handle production, and the core team is five Hintzes. Their Rise to Rail ride, held for the fourth time in September 2026, climbs over Big Mountain to the historic Union Pacific Rail Trail. The listing says it is not a race, which is what every group ride says right before it becomes one.
Snēk's $15 merino headband is pieced together from two remnants of the fabric left over from making its neck gaiters.
