Vudoo Gun Works is a hunting and archery brand founded in St. George, Utah, in 2017. It is now headquartered in Prague, Oklahoma.
Vudoo Gun Works says its break came as a guest of Lapua at a shooting event, where its .22 rifle kept hitting a plate rack at 485 yards. The rack had been set up for the centerfire demonstration. The company was based in St. George then, and it brought its first rifle, the V-22, to market there in 2017.
The idea was a rimfire action with the same footprint as a Remington 700 short action, so it drops into stocks and chassis built for centerfire rifles. Mike Bush, a design engineer, is credited as a co-founder. The single shot V-22S arrived in 2020 at $2,800 to $3,450, with a trigger that adjusts down to 0.7 ounces. That is centerfire money for the cartridge most of us learned on.
Vudoo changed ownership in July 2024, when Jacob Herman became CEO. In August 2025 it moved its headquarters and all of its manufacturing to Prague, Oklahoma. It now builds 1911 pistols there as well as the rifles. Utah earns the listing because the V-22 got its start in St. George.
Oklahoma's commerce department said the nation's first bachelor's degree in gunsmithing, offered at nearby Murray State, made the state the obvious choice for Vudoo's relocation.
