Eastern Outer is an accessories brand founded in Heber City, Utah,.
Eastern Outer named a pair of sunglasses after Ryan Geertsen. The product page for the Geertsen, a carbon fiber and wood aviator, opens at a high school baseball dugout and follows him to a Park City track, where the company says he went face-first at more than 80 miles an hour chasing Olympic skeleton glory. The Heber City brand usually names its frames after places.
The Timp is named for Mount Timpanogos, which the company says watches over its home in the Heber Valley. The High Star takes its name from the singletrack at High Star Ranch near Kamas, one of the team's favorite places to ride. Its home, as the brand puts it, sits east of Utah's "big" city and outside the noise.
The people behind it spent more than 15 years in the eyewear industry first, and they say that taught them how to sell sunglasses and goggles for less than the major outdoor brands. The frames are designed in Heber and made, the company says, in the same factories the big brands use. It does not name those factories. The floating bamboo sunglasses cost $50, and they do float.
Goggles get the same treatment. The Mach Schnell uses an Italian-made photochromic lens that the company says shifts from 83 percent light transmission in flat light to 20 percent in full sun, and it fits over most glasses. The Timp, new for fall 2026, weighs 33.1 grams.
The apparel is less sincere. One sweatshirt reads "Utah Powder | subpar. tell your friends," and a long sleeve tee announces that Utah skiing is the worst. Both are designed in Utah, which makes them less a review than a plan for shorter lift lines.
Eastern Outer's store also sells the BOLT Performance Razor, which its maker bills as the first razor designed specifically for men's leg shaving.
