Orem, UtahSince 2019

Just Ingredients is a supplement brand founded in Utah in 2019. It is headquartered in Orem, Utah.

Just Ingredients grew out of an Instagram account that compared ketchup brands. Karalynne Call set a goal of 2,000 followers and passed it within days, and the account now has more than a million. The Orem company that came out of those posts sells more than 200 products, and during 2024 it grew from 600 retail locations to more than 2,250.

The account came after a hard stretch. Nearly two decades ago Call was living with severe depression, and she and her husband spent more than two years looking for a doctor who could help. One finally told her, "I can help you, but it will take work." Testing turned up nutrient deficiencies and food intolerances, and she has said poor nutrition was part of her struggles.

She became a certified nutritionist and started posting everyday swaps, from artificial sweeteners to why fiber matters. "When I couldn't find products I fully trusted, I decided to create them myself," she later said. She told KSL she picked the name because she wanted people to know "it is about the ingredients in their food."

Making them was harder than posting about them. Starting with a single item, Call worked with food scientists, and manufacturers pushed back, because real-food production cost more and was harder to keep consistent. The company launched in 2019. In 2024 alone it more than doubled its revenue and released 64 new products, and Utah Business named Call its CEO of the Year in 2025.

Its products now sit on shelves from Harmons to Whole Foods. The company started a podcast in March 2021 that brings in dietitians and doctors, and it has partnered with Bryce Harper, the two-time MVP.

Its protein powder is built on grass-fed whey from New Zealand, so the Utah part of this company is the people, not the cows. The company says it collects certificates of analysis from its suppliers and then retests each finished blend. Its Vanilla Bean Protein Powder is NSF Certified for Sport, and its electrolyte mixes use a 3:1 potassium to sodium ratio, on the argument that most people are not working in the sun all day.

The company works out of a warehouse and offices in Orem with a store out front, which opened in February 2024 with the mayor at the ribbon cutting. The newer energy drinks get 100 milligrams of caffeine from organic green tea, and the lab results for them are posted online. It is the ketchup comparison, scaled up to a company.
