Utah brands on Shark Tank

Six brands on this list, founded from 1982 to 2016. Utah County has the most of them, with 4.

These are the brands in this directory that pitched on ABC's Shark Tank, each confirmed by a news report or by the company's own account. Getting on the show and getting a deal turned out to be different things.

Kodiak Cakes turned down an offer in 2014, and Joel Clark later told Entrepreneur that the appearance "spiked our sales like crazy at Target." Mission Belt filmed in October 2012. Daymond John offered a deal, and after the episode aired in April 2013 he came back with a better one, Zac Holzapfel told the Daily Herald. PhoneSoap's founders, cousins who started on the idea as BYU students, had three offers in Season 6 and took $300,000 from Lori Greiner for 10 percent of the company.

PaddleSmash made a deal with Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec in 2023, $250,000 for 20 percent, and then decided against it after reading the rest of the contract. Enso Rings had a rough night before filming, with broken props and forgotten lines. The pitch the next morning went fine. A handshake on television is not the same as a closed deal, so each brand page says who owns the company today.
